The TLC-4S controller connects to any HD TriCaster including the TC40 and any of our tally lights.  The current version of the software supports both  the red program and green preview tally lights. You can also globally enable or disable the talent tally via the software with no jumpers to change.

Another new feature lets you assign any of the six tally outputs to any of the switcher inputs so assign a tally to a network input  or a DDR.

One of the things that  sets the TLC-4S apart from a simple adapter cable is the intercom pass through so you can run both tally and intercom on a single Cat5 cable run. Connect your intercom base station into the xlr on the TLC-4S then connect your beltpacks to the multi-purpose port on the tally lights.

    Dear Tech Support.

    I’m trying to ascertain the nature of the TLC-4S outputs. Are they switch closures, Voltages, currents, a TTL or CMOS logic level, or some sort of encoded signal? If a Voltage, what is the max available source/sink current per selected output? I’m trying to interface to a DIY Relay Driver for our existing tally lights. The Driver requires an Active HIGH, +3 to +5 VDC, sourced at ~25 mA to ENABLE a tally light relay. It can also be reversed, where a LOW (~0V, sinking 25 mA) ENABLES a tally light relay. I can also reconfigure the Driver for 5V, Standard or Low Power TTL or CMOS Input levels of either polarity, as long as I know the TLC-4S output characteristics.
