The primary CODEC used by the TriCaster™ starting with the 2.0 software
is an all 'I' Frame MPEG2. These MPEG2 files are compatible with most
editing software on both the Mac and PC. Previous versions used NewTek's proprietary CODECs NT25 or
SpeedHQ. The TriCaster can play any of the NewTek CODECS.
